Model
Askari 63'
The name Askari 63 comes from the Swahili name “askari wa kifaru” for tickbird, which are the birds often found sitting along the backs of rhinoceros (literally meaning the rhinoceros’ guard).
This model, designed by Luca Dini, is made entirely out of aluminium. It was developed for a clientele that is used to a much heavier yacht and that is looking for the same amenities and high quality standards, yet in a more manageable boat.
It was built to be a luxury yacht without space for equipment or guests, in order to place more emphasis on the areas related to shipping, such as the saloon and stateroom. The Askari 63 can be easily defined as a small ship, rather than a motorboat.
Its remarkable length and large covered sun deck make the Askari the peak of nautical expression for those who want to fully enjoy open spaces on their own boat.
The interior can be completely personalised to satisfy the needs of the client;
from the division of the compartments all the way to the selection of the materials to be used in the interior design of the boat.
The combination of an optimal water line and the weight of the materials employed, create an excellent performance without even needing to use a lot of power and therefore reducing the amount of consumption.
Its top speed is similar to that of a cruise ship, however this may vary depending of the type of motor chosen by the client according to specific purpose of the boat.
The first Askari model was launched June 5th, 2009.
