Concept

A concept by definition is an idea

A concept is not just an idea to us, but rather it is also a plan that must be analyzed in all its facets until our goal has been achieved.

Kifaru has been at the cutting edge of shipbuilding by making itself one of the first nautical companies to introduce the idea of producing boats made to fit the specific needs of the client, which until then had always been a luxury reserved for only large yachts. Before the creation of Kifaru, our capabilities were limited by the exclusive use of moulds, which were necessary in producing all components in composite fibber. The shift to aluminium has broken down those previous barriers imposed by the use of moulds and has allowed us to completely follow the specifications of each client when constructing our products.

The construction of each one of our yachts begins with a meeting between Luca Dini Design Studio and the client, who will have the opportunity to discuss all of his ideas, including the roominess, comfort, sporty performance, purpose, etc. Once the client’s requirements have been established, the next step is to provide a more detailed plan. This step includes researching the ergonomics, style and materials to be used, which are then presented to the client. In this phase the client begins to play an active and integral role in the drafting of his/her own concept of the boat.

The final result is what we call a concept yacht, which is hand-crafted to then be delivered to the shipowner once it has been made to suit the manufacturing limitations and comply with the laws established by Lloyd's Register.

This process is repeated for each client, yet the final result is always different, even on the same model, as there are so many varying factors.
This is precisely why Kifaru products can be defined as "one of a kind boats".
